A growing GreenHouse in Trikala
Another “GreenHouse” startup workshop was successfully completed by the Entrepreneurship Hub of ACT- the American College of Thessaloniki with the collaboration of the Municipality of Trikala.
GreenHouse is a training program aiming to boost entrepreneurship. It is implemented by the Entrepreneurship Hub of ACT for Northern Greece, and the Alba Graduate Business School, the American College of Greece for Southern Greece, with the support of The Hellenic Initiative- (THI).
The 3-day workshop took place in the Tsitsanis Museum during the weekend 23 to 25 th November 2018, in cooperation with the Municipality of Trikala. The workshop was the first event to be hosted in the new venue of the renovated Trikala old prison.
Emphasis was placed on innovative business processes and on the crucial steps of creating businesses that respond to the modern rapidly changing era. Extensive presentations from experts – business executives and partners of the ACT Entrepreneurship Hub – regarding human resources management, financial tools, costing-budgeting, marketing strategy and networking, gave the opportunity to the large number of participants to obtain a good perspective of successful business practices.
GreenHouse was welcomed by the Mayor of Trikala, Mr. Dimitris Papastergiou, stressing that it is the beginning of a new effort by the Municipality that will raise innovative ideas into successful ventures. This will be achieved through the Innovation Pole, prepared by the Municipality, focusing on innovative ideas that will be implemented by the citizens.

The next programmed activity for the Entrepreneurship Hub of ACT is the VentureGarden, the training & mentoring startup program which will be open for applications until the 10 th of December.
