Message from the President

Dear ACT Students, Alumni, Faculty and Staff,

In today’s world, there are at least three university models. One is clearly the research institution where the primary emphasis is on research and discovery rather than teaching and where undergraduate students typically interact with teaching assistants rather than faculty. Second, there are only a few universities where teaching and research receive equal emphasis ... (read more)

FROM A CURRENT MBA STUDENT:
APOSTOLOS ZIKOULIS,
Sales Representative for Alico AIG Life comments on the program

“I would like to share my experiences as a student at ACT. I honestly feel proud of being part of the ACT-MBA community. First, the high academic standards of the courses, the level of teaching, as well as the efficient classes offered me a strong start. Also, the relations with my professors and fellow students supported me all the way. I am fully employed and study at the same time which makes my time extremely valuable. That is why the effectiveness of the school was desirable. To be honest, it has exceeded my expectations. As an Aristotelion University graduate I was acquainted with a very theoretical kind of education and I now enjoy the up-to-date and extremely applicable newly acquired knowledge provided through this course. It has been demanding, especially due to time constraints, but utterly useful, satisfactory and relevant to the real business world. This course of study is also well supported by the helpful staff and amazing resources of the Bissell Library which strengthens our performance as students”.

Greetings from Dr. Wisner!

I like to think that ACT is a microcosm of the American system of higher education, in that we can challenge the elite student just as we can motivate the underachiever to find a niche for themselves.  So while this newsletter will continue to celebrate the exploits of some of our other alumni, I also wanted to share with you... ACT now meets at

Our place to be!  Start spreading the word! Enjoy your Thursday nights out for a drink with the rest of us, while meeting old friends, making news ones, and generally promoting the ACT spirit!

LET's START A TRADITION!

ACT's Alumni Council is initiating an ongoing Social Hour! in an effort to begin to bring together more of ACT's alums and also those "soon to be" alums. The inaugural event was held on April 6, 2006 at the IDOLLS bar/café (Salamina, next to the General Clinic) and around 30 alumni showed up! Our choice of location was not accidental since IDOLLS is the creation of our fellow graduates Mr. Valentinos Papalambros (Class 1996) & Mr. Tony Papalampros (Class 2004) who we thank for their support and warm welcome! Plus, ACT students & graduates have already made IDOLLS their "steki"! This informal "get together" will be taking place EVERY FIRST THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH and, with your support, it will become an ACT tradition.
