Greek Prime Minister visits ACT’s Entrepreneurship Hub booth at TIF 2019

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited ACT’s Entrepreneurship Hub booth at the 84th Thessaloniki International Fair on Saturday, September 7, during his planned tour of the TIF 2019.
For the second straight year, the Entrepreneurship Hub participates in TIF 2019 - booth 19 in Pavilion 12 - where it provides information on its programs to assist young entrepreneurs who have a new idea they want to develop. In addition, the Hub is highlighting two of its successful entrepreneurs who founded their companies after participating in the Hub’s support programs. The two new start-up companies are Mouro Superfoods that produces organic aronia fruits, and Sui Generis Seat a Segway add-on that transforms the famous self-balancing scooter from standing to a seated electric vehicle for people with mobility problems. The Greek Prime Minister was informed by the Director of the ACT's Entrepreneurship Hub, Mr. George Kokkas, about the Hub's many initiatives that are free to the public to promote innovative entrepreneurship in Northern Greece. The Prime Minister was intrigued with the concepts and had in-depth discussions concerning the state of the Greek start-up community with the founders, Mrs. Alexia Stamboulidou of Mouro Superfoods, and Mr. George Sinanis of the Sui Generis Seat.

The Sui Generis Seat was also one of this year's winners of the ACT’s John & Mary Pappajohn Business Plan Competition, which offers winners cash prizes to assist in their efforts to launch. The Minister of Digital Governance, Mr. Kyriakos Pierrakakis, and the U.S. Ambassador in Greece, Mr. Geoffrey Pyatt, also paid a visit to ACT's Entrepreneurship Hub booth expressing his support for the Hub’s initiatives to mentor, guide and open the road for innovative entrepreneurs.
