Why ACT
All undergraduate and graduate programs at the American College of Thessaloniki are accredited by NEASC, something that ensures not only the quality of the education, but also your ability to transfer courses credits and grades to your home institution.

So spend a semester summer or a full year at ACT to:

  1. Experience a multicultural environment with a diverse and multinational student body, at a crossroads between Western and Eastern cultures.

  2. Receive a high quality, U.S.-style education, supported by experienced faculty, modern information and library resources, small classes and individualized attention, and a rich academic curriculum.

  3. Expose yourself to a diverse and exciting social and cultural life in Thessaloniki and Northern Greece: fascinating history combined with natural beauty.

  4. Connect to an Hellenic heritage and be Greek regardless of your own national heritage: learn the Greek language, traditions and customs, and be part of the greater Hellenic family

  5. Integrate into the Anatolia community, and the wider city community, through Activities & Events Calendar.
"Marvelous things happen to one in Greece, marvelous good things which can happen to one nowhere else on earth."

Henry Miller, from Colossus of Maroussi

“I can honestly say that my time in Thessaloniki was one of the most valuable experiences of my life.

Being immersed in a language, a culture and a style of life that are infinitely different (and, subjectively, infinitely better) from those that we can live among in the States helped me think about what I truly value and has changed and shaped the course of my career and personal life.

I have come to realize that apart from the incredible time I had during my semester in Greece, the experience is contributing to my life and happiness as much if not more than ever before.”
Meghan Morris, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY
