CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS
IN ADDITION TO DEGREE PROGRAMS, ACT ALSO OFFERS SPECIALIZED CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS IN VARIOUS FIELDS
Certificate programs are typically short-term and cover a specific subject in depth. ACT departments offer certificate programs in addition to the regular degree programs. These are ideal for students of other universities or other disciplines who want to gain expertise and know-how in specific subject areas.
Business certificate programs include Global Business Management at the undergraduate level and Entrepreneurship, Finance, Management and Marketing at the graduate level.
Computing programs include the Oracle Academy Certification Program, the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Program, Digital Media and Web Development.
ACT also offers a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) program aimed at beginning as well as experienced teachers of English, as well as a Certificate in Hellenic Studies.
Global Business Management
The certificate in Global Business Management offers students a global perspective on a variety of business issues, especially in today's world economy which is characterized by economic, geopolitical, ethical, and cultural business implications.
CCNA
The Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Program trains students to design, build, and maintain computer networks. It is a beginning-level program that aims to certify a solid foundation in Networking.
CERTIFICATE PROGRAM IN TEFL
The certificate program in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) is offered at two levels: Introductory and Advanced. The introductory level is open to beginners with little formal teacher training, English language proficiency certificate holders and university students or graduates of English, and offers participants a solid grounding in current approaches to teaching English as a foreign language. The advanced level is aimed at experienced teachers of English and provides in-depth coverage of specialized subjects. Both levels include substantial hands-on practical training.
HELLENIC STUDIES
ACT offers to non-degree students the opportunity to gain a broader understanding of the rich heritage of Hellenism, both ancient and modern. Courses are taught by leading practitioners throughout the academic year, including during accelerated summer sessions. The certificate program consists of one academic course, one language course, and study trips organized by the Office of Academic and Student Affairs.
