Each year ACT makes a small number of financial aid awards in the form of scholarships and tuition waivers to eligible students. Decisions regarding the awarding of aid are arrived at on the basis of both need and academic performance, with need being the foremost consideration.
Eligibility Criteria
For entering students from Greek high schools:
- a high school leaving grade of at least 14
- a passing score on the ACT English Placement Evaluation or the equivalent
- an annual family income not exceeding 22,000 euros for a four-member family
For entering students from non-Greek high schools:
- a minimum school leaving grade of B+ or its equivalent
- a passing score on the ACT English Placement Evaluation or the equivalent
- demonstrable financial need
For transfer students:
- a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0
- demonstrable financial need
For continuing students:
- a significant and adverse change in family's financial situation
- a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0
Application Procedure
Each applicant should submit to the Admissions Office by April 30 the following documents for consideration for the fall semester:
- a letter of application explaining in detail the candidate's educational objectives and any special extenuating financial circumstances.
- the tax statements of the person(s) financially responsible for the candidate (parents/guardians) for the last two years, including the real estate tax statement.
- a completed ACT Financial Aid Application Form
Financial aid is normally renewed on an annual basis, pending availability of funds, and providing that the recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 2.67 (B-) in each semester and continues to demonstrate financial need. Tuition waivers are guaranteed for a single year only.
