Computing Resources



Technological advances in the computer area make it necessary for today's students to prepare themselves for a constantly changing computer world. ACT students enjoy the use of the most modern technology in this field.

Over 150 networked, Pentium IV stations are available to students in the following Computer laboratories:
  • 4 general purpose laboratories: A total of 95 Pentium IV stations
  • 1 Multimedia Laboratory: 21 Pentium IV stations, 22" monitors, all with media capture capabilities, scanners
  • 1 Multimedia Production Studio: 2 Pentium IV workstations with DV-500 capture cards, 4 HP-2400 flatbed scanners, 4 DV-Camcorders
  • 1 Networking Laboratory: 10 Stations


The laboratories are used both as general access and instructional computer labs. They are equipped with data projectors and black and white or color laser printers and photo quality ink-jet printers. All stations are networked with full Internet Access and run the latest software such as MS office 2000, Oracle, Power-builder, Visible Analyst, Java, Visual Basic, 3-D Max, Adobe Photoshop 7.0, Adobe premiere pro, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, Macromedia MX studio, Macromedia Authorware 6, PanaView Image Assembler, Minitab 13.1, MathCad 11, etc.
